COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF THEATRE+rsquo;S NEXT TO NORMAL SEEKING
A1/A2 AND CREW POSITIONS
This production of Next to Normal is being produced by Columbia University School of the Arts as Miles Sternfeld's (MFA Directing, 2025) Materials project, under the supervision of Brian Kulick and Anne Bogart.
Job Description: A1 is responsible for assisting the sound designer with system install, mixing wireless microphones during tech rehearsals and the performance run, and leading strike for the sound department. Must have experience mixing musical theater, familiarity with Yamaha consoles preferred.
Deck crew will be responsible for the execution of cues on the stage as the stage manager calls them throughout the show. Minor furniture movements, actor dressing, door opening, and cueing actors may occur.

Thursday, September 21, 2023: Load in 6PM - 10PM
Friday, September 22, 2023: Load in, cont. 10 AM - 5PM
Saturday, September 23, 2023: Tech Rehearsal 10AM - 8PM
Sunday, September 24, 2023: Tech Rehearsal 10AM - 8PM
Tuesday, September 26, 2023: Dress Rehearsal 5PM - 10PM
Wednesday, September 27, 2023: Dress Rehearsal 5PM - 10PM
Thursday, September 28, 2023: Final Dress 5PM - 10PM
Friday, September 29, 2023: Performance 5PM - 10PM
Saturday, September 30, 2023: TWO Performances, Call for first show is 12PM, break after first show, 5PM - 10PM
Sunday, October 1: Sound Strike TBD
