Job Title: A2/Mic Technician
Location: Boise, ID
Terms: Part-Time Seasonal Contract. Contract runs from August 26th to October 5,2023.
Salary/Rate: The A2/Mic Technician will receive a $15.00/hour wage. This seasonal position does not include any additional benefits, but housing and travel stipend may be provided for out of town applicants.
About the Role: The A2/Mic Technician is crucial to the successful audio operation of a production. This role requires a multi-talented individual that has experience with wireless
microphones in a live setting. Quick thinking and reaction time are imperative, as time is of the essence if something stops functioning properly midway through performance.
The position will also assist in daily setup as well as other non-show needs as available.
Responsibilities: A2/Mic Technician
+bull; Serve as A2 (Deck Audio) for Dracula
+bull; Battery up and check wireless microphones pre-show
+bull; Wire up and ensure actors microphone rigs are placed properly pre-show and at intermission
+bull; Perform emergency mic swaps in the event that a piece of equipment goes down
+bull; Microphone maintenance (cleaning, paint match touch up) as needed
+bull; Provide assistance to A1/lead sound engineer for daily setup
+bull; Additional audio help as needed with
Audio Supervisor
Candidate Requirements:
+bull; Current student or graduate with live or theatrical audio background
+bull; A prompt, go-to attitude with good communication and interpersonal skills
+bull; Must be comfortable with heights/ladders/lifts
+bull; Position will require the candidate to lift objects up to 75 lbs.
+bull; Wireless Mic Experience (Shure Axient Digital) Preferred
