JOB TITLE: Dresser-Stitcher

REPORTS TO: Costume Shop Manager and Wardrobe Supervisor

JOB TYPE: Seasonal with hours worked as needed to meet production goals. Based on the production calendar must be able to work irregular hours, evening hours, long shifts and weekend shifts.

DESCRIPTION: Dresser+rsquo;s are responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and removal of all costume designs for all productions and events at Riverside Theatre.


+bull; Maintain positive attitude, possess strong leadership skills, high level of organizational, communication, problem solving skills and ability to work well in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines.
+bull; Previous experience in academic or professional costume settings.
+bull; Prior sewing experience a must.
+bull; Must have a valid driver+rsquo;s license.
+bull; Must be able to lift 25 pounds


+bull; Uphold the Core Values of Riverside Theatre.
+bull; Assist Costume Shop Manager and Wardrobe Supervisor with all necessary responsibilities as assigned.
+bull; Serve on Wardrobe crew for Riverside theatre+rsquo;s productions.
+bull; Assist with any alterations as assigned by Costume Shop Manager.
+bull; Assist with the setting, maintenance and upkeep of all wigs/hair for guest artists as necessary.
+bull; Work with stage management to locate and provide all rehearsal costume pieces and accessories, including shoes, skirts, hats, etc.
+bull; Assist the Costume Shop Manager with assignment of duties to costume shop/volunteer staff.
+bull; Assist in the maintenance of costumes during the run of a show, including but not limited to, dry cleaning, laundry, and repairs.
+bull; Assist in maintaining the organization, equipment, and safety of all costume areas including the main costume shop, costume storage, and dressing rooms.
+bull; Attend meetings, rehearsals and events as needed.
+bull; Attend all strike calls and assist as needed.
