Position Summary:
Experienced Actors' Equity Stage Manager for the touring production of new play "All Things Equal: The Life and Trials of Ruth Bader Ginsburg" for the remainder of the 2023 tour. The Stage Manager is responsible for all standard Stage Management duties including the day-to-day operations of the production as assigned by the Producer. The Stage Manager will work closely with the production staff, actors, and staff of the tour venues to ensure smooth set-up and running of the show at each venue from start to finish.
Start Date:
This position will begin ASAP and run through the end of May.
Compensation:
Competitive salary, plus housing, travel, and per diem provided
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain the integrity of the show for the duration of the tour
- Complete all paperwork necessary for the show, including the creation and distribution of performance reports
- Communicate effectively and courteously with all department heads
Job Requirements:
- At least 5 years of professional stage management experience
- Experienced in touring one-nighter venues and weekly sit downs in theaters throughout the country
- Comprehensive knowledge of theatrical production
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills required. Needs to be a team player.
- Commitment to safety and professionalism
- Proficiency in QLab is a plus!
