As the Lead Carpenter, you will work under the Technical Director and Assistant Technical Director to construct, install, and strike scenery for the Hope Rep season. You will lead projects, stock alterations, and various notes throughout the season. Attention to detail and safe tool usage is essential. Lead Carpenter should be able to instruct younger members of the shop as necessary. You must have a positive attitude, good problem solving skills, a desire to see projects through to completion, and be able to work in an active, fast-paced environment. You must be able to work safely, independently, and efficiently. You should exercise a high level of organization, time management, and communication skills. Drivers license is not required but very useful.
The 2025 Season consists of six productions including one theatre for young audiences production performed outdoors with limited lighting needs. The remaining five productions will take place in three locations.
Contract includes housing on campus - a private room in a shared house. All venues are walking distance from housing.
