+bull; High Point University invites applications for a full-time staff position as Hayworth Fine Arts Center Facilities Manager. This position works closely with many High Point University events, and therefore should be well organized and exhibit an established work ethic. This is a 10-month appointment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
+bull; Minimum BA or BFA in Theatre Technology or equivalent experience (see below) required.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
+bull; Bachelor+rsquo;s Degree plus minimum 2 years experience in professional theatre, otherwise, minimum 5 years experience in professional theatre in at least two fields (lighting, sound, video, rigging, stagehand/road crew) required.
+bull; Previous employment in Higher Education preferred.
+bull; Training and/or experience in the following areas are required: sound engineering, entertainment electrical work, rigging and counterweight systems, video signal routing and patching, and computerized drafting.
+bull; Experience with operating video switching and computer equipment required.
+bull; Experience and understanding of moving lights, lighting consoles, digital sound consoles, and DMX programming required.
+bull; Experience with projections is a plus.
SKILLS:
+bull; Working knowledge of ETC lighting consoles.
+bull; Proficient use of both PC and Mac computers.
+bull; Basic understanding of OSHA regulations and theatrical safety issues and requirements.
+bull; Highly organized and detail oriented.
+bull; Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides technical support for university events that take place in the Hayworth Fine Arts Center, such as, lighting, sound, projections, rigging, and setup of risers or seating. Events include, but are not limited to:
+bull; PBS Filming
+bull; Presidential Seminar
+bull; Open House Events
+bull; Presidential Scholar Weekends
+bull; Innovation Summits
+bull; Family Weekends
+bull; Student Life Events
+bull; Student-run Events
Periodically inspects and maintains all equipment in the facility, ensuring that all equipment is in safe operating condition.
Reports maintenance requests regarding the facility that can be fulfilled by Campus Enhancement.
Creates a complete, yearly calendar of events that are scheduled in the Pauline Theatre.
Aids in fulfilling reservation requests through 25Live for use of the Pauline Theatre.
Works closely with the Admissions Department, as well as the Theatre, Dance, and Music Departments.
Works in conjunction with the assistant facility manager and front of house manager to ensure that all events in Hayworth Fine Arts Center are properly staffed.
