Circus Smirkus is seeking an enthusiastic multi-instrumentalist (violin and/or woodwinds) with experience playing for live performance productions for our 2024 Big Top Tour. Should be comfortable playing to a click-track along with pre-recorded music tracks and improvising both solos and along with fellow band members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
(Majority of duties, but not meant to be all-inclusive nor prevent other duties from being assigned as necessary.)
-Play instrument(s) during rehearsals and shows.
-Follow click track, follow verbal cues from the bandleader, and accent tricks; observe and improvise by supporting the moment-to-moment energy of each act.
-Assist Music Director and Bandleader during pre-tour training by filming act rehearsals and taking notes on the acts as they are finalized.
-Provide own instrument(s) and transport it/them to Smirkus.
-Participate in sound checks before shows.
-Assist in set-up and tear-down of band and sound equipment.
-Assist in the set-up and tear down of back lot at the discretion of the Tour General Manager, and Operations Director. Duties may include but are not limited to: Setting and leveling bunkhouses, running hoses and electrical cords, setting up dishwashing station, setting up picnic tables and dining tent.
-Drive company vehicle.
-Other jobs as needed.
