The Wardrobe/Wigs position plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless execution of costume and wig-related tasks during rehearsals and performances. This position involves assisting with wardrobe duties, including quick wig changes, costume repairs, and laundry, while also supporting the Costume Shop Manager with stitching and the Wig Designer with wig maintenance. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow directions, and strong time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Quick Changes and Presets: Assist with costume and wig quick changes and presets before, during, and after each production.
Wig Repairs: Perform repairs, maintenance, and styling of all wigs and hairpieces before, during, and after shows to ensure their quality and functionality.
Laundry and Cleaning: Assist with laundry and dry cleaning for performances, including ironing, steaming, starching, hanging, and folding items as needed.
Run Sheets: Follow detailed run sheets to ensure smooth wardrobe and wig operations during productions.
Hair/Hat Plots: Collaborate with the Wig Designer and Costume Designer to gain full knowledge of each performer+rsquo;s wig, hairpiece, and hat tracking throughout the show.
Costume Shop Support: Work as a stitcher in the Costume Shop when wig maintenance duties are completed or additional help is required.
Production Strike: Assist with the strike and proper storage of wigs, Make-up, and hairpieces at the conclusion of each production.
Organization and Storage: Maintain the organization and storage of costumes, accessories, wigs, hairpieces, and related materials
Workplace Cleanliness: Ensure the costume workspaces remain clean and safe.
Reporting Issues: Notify the Costume Shop Manager or Artistic Director of any problems with deadlines, materials, or equipment.
Policy Adherence: Follow all Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts procedures and policies.
Additional Tasks: Complete other tasks as assigned by the Costume Shop Manager, Wig Designer, Stage Manager, or Technical Director.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Sewing Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in both machine and hand sewing techniques.
Wig Experience: Demonstrated experience handling, setting, styling, and maintaining both synthetic and human hair wigs and hair pieces.
Attention to Detail: Ability to follow precise directions accurately and efficiently.
Problem-Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and resolve them under pressure.
Self-Motivation: Capability to work independently while managing time effectively and prioritizing tasks.
Collaboration: Ability to work well within a team, maintaining positive relationships with colleagues.
Flexibility and Growth: Willingness to learn, grow, and adapt in a dynamic work environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Google Docs and Sheets for documentation and collaboration.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
This role requires:
Physical activities such as bending, lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in a fast-paced environment.
Handling delicate fabrics and materials with care.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, as dictated by production schedules.
