Ampa Events, a 25 year old event production company and scene shop, seeks candidates with creative skills including Carpentry, Lighting, Artistry, and great people skills for a SENIOR Level Managers Position in the event world. This position works with the client from the Sales Process and through the execution of productions in the field which includes the management of a crew, load In/Out, and complete the clients order in a timely manner. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
MUST HAVE 5-10 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THEATRE, EVENTS, CATERING OR RELATED HOSPITALITY INDUSTRIES
Consideration will be give to candidates that have proven skills and experience, but may not have a complete 5 years of min. experience.

General Description:
The process starts with sales and client development. Must have a great personality for success in sales. Once the sale is closed, producer is for designing, managing and executing a program that meets the clients needs. The design process is made easy with our massive inventory of event equipment, theme decor, stage sets, drape, lighting and more. Hundreds of Power Point designs from years of producing successful events are available to help you sell creative ideas to clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES + SKILLS
1. Carpentry skills: Construction and installation of scenery; working with wood, foam, fiberglass, plastics, and other materials.
2. Lighting: Installation of theatrical lighting for corporate stage applications as well as decorative theme designs
3. Crew Lead/Manager: run the production and manager the crew to execute on time installations
4. Inventory: work in our CRM to select equipment for successful designs, create work orders for fabrication and total design to be pulled and loaded by warehouse staff for execution of the program.
5. Scheduling: Facilitate efficient use of staff as needed for event schedule, and other tasks.
6. Working Conditions: New Office and Warehouse complex with employee amenities. A general work week plus nights and weekends as needed per the event. Some travel per event schedule
7. Work with clients directly, calling on them to win their business and to establish Ampa as a preferred vendor at venues.

Required Skills/Qualifications:
1. Positive individual eager to learn and grow with the company.
2. Carpentry skills
3. Lighting: complete understanding of theatrical lighting, wiring, and general repair skills.
4. Rigging Skills.Hanging focusing of lights.
5. self starter, able to work unsupervised as we as part of a team
6. Good driving record, able to drive small box trucks and pull utility trailers.
7. Office: Good written/verbal communications; computer, web and electronic skills. MAC preferred.
8. Customer service skills -- good with people and able to interact positively with clients on site.
9. Comfortable juggling multiple projects and able to improvise.
10. Ability to rapidly change gears and adapt to client orders.
11. Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
12. HR: as a manager the position requires the management of subordinates. Must have abilities in HR.

Not Required, but desirable skills (may position you for other roles in the company):
1. Artistic skills - painting, craft skills
2. Prop Design and Fabrication

TRAINING
Ampa will train and provide continuing education for committed employees. However, as a Senior Managers Position, candidates must come to this role with superb skills in the aforementioned areas.
