Atlanta Jewish Academy is seeking a passionate and organized Assistant Director to support our Lower + Middle School theater productions (2 separate shows). This is a part-time position, perfect for someone who loves working with children, has a creative spirit, and enjoys bringing stories to life on stage.

Position Details:

Lower School Show: August - December

Middle School: TBD, roughly September/October - April

Schedule: 2 to 5 rehearsals per week during after school hours. (looking for an AD for both shows, but also open to candidates who can only do 1)

Age Groups: Elementary + Middle School students

Start Date: August

Location: Atlanta Jewish Academy

Responsibilities:

Assist the Director in all aspects of rehearsals and performances

Help guide and mentor student actors, encouraging creativity and confidence

Support staging, blocking, and choreography

Aid in production elements such as costumes, props, and set organization

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff

Qualifications:

Experience in theater, directing, or performing arts (preferably with children)

Strong organizational and communication skills

A positive, patient, and enthusiastic attitude

Ability to work collaboratively with the Director and creative team
