Position Overview:
The Patron Services + Office Assistant, serves as the first point of contact for patrons of the Symphony and oversees all aspects of ticketing operations for the South Florida Symphony Orchestra, plays a key role in supporting fundraising and donor engagement, while ensuring an exceptional patron experience. This role is responsible for handling ticket sales, maintaining the ticketing system, and working with marketing and development to support audience engagement, and donor communications. This is an in-office position.

Key Responsibilities:
Ticketing Operations: Manage all aspects of ticket sales, including subscriptions, single tickets, group sales, and special promotions. Maintain and optimize the ticketing system (e.g., TIX, or similar).
Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service by assisting patrons with ticket purchases, exchanges, refunds, and general inquiries. Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
Revenue Management: Implement pricing strategies, discounts, and promotions in collaboration with the Director of Marketing to maximize ticket sales and donor engagement.
Collaboration: Work closely with marketing to execute ticket promotions and the development team to facilitate donor ticketing benefits as necessary. Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth event operations.
Development Operations
Assist in the management and maintenance of the donor database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
Process donations and prepare acknowledgment letters and tax receipts in a timely manner.
Coordinate donor correspondence, including invitations, newsletters, and annual fund appeals.
Support the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns, including direct mail, online giving, and major gift initiatives.
Assist with special events such as donor receptions, galas, and exclusive concerts by coordinating logistics, guest lists, and follow-up communication.
Provide administrative support to the Development Department, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and handling inquiries.
Technology + System Maintenance: Manage and update ticketing software, troubleshoot system issues, and recommend technology improvements to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor+rsquo;s degree in arts administration, business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service, box office, ticketing operations, or a related field, preferably in a performing arts or nonprofit environment.
1-2 years of experience in development, fundraising, event planning, or administrative support, preferably in a nonprofit or arts organization.
Ability to initiate and build relationships with customers and interact via telephone and in person.
Dedication towards Same Call Resolution and ability to de-escalate conflict.
Proficiency in all Microsoft 365 applications, ticketing software, or CRM systems.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work evenings and weekends (occasionally) as required for performances and events.
Experience handling financial transactions and maintaining accurate records.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of classical music and/or the performing arts sector.
Experience working with a nonprofit organization.
Familiarity with ADA and accessibility considerations for ticketing and patron services.
